Mens Sana Pilates

Pilates is a way to feel really healthy and strong in a most efficient body. It also helps to improve performance in other sports and to prevent or recover from injuries.

About me

I have always been very athletic and tried many different types sports: field hockey, fitness, yoga, capoeira, rowing, swimming and sailing. Then I discovered Pilates in 2012 - and it was love at first sight.

I started practicing Pilates after a recommendation by a physiotherapist whom I consulted due to continuous lower back pains. 

Pilates turned out to be the solution to my back issues, and I was eager to  learn more and more about Pilates and the human body.

In 2014 I graduated from the Polestar Mat Instructor training and started teaching Mat classes at The Movement Practice in Amsterdam. 

In parallel I commenced the Polestar Studio training and started teaching using equipment like the Reformer, Trapeze Table, Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector and props.


Since November 2015 I am Certified Polestar® Instructor for both Mat and Studio classes.
