About me

I have always been very athletic and tried many different types of sports: field hockey, fitness, yoga, capoeira, rowing, swimming and sailing.

Then I discovered Pilates in 2012 – and it was love at first sight!

I started practising Pilates after a recommendation by a physiotherapist whom I consulted due to continuous lower back pains.

Pilates turned out to be the solution to my back issues, and I was eager to learn more and more about Pilates and the human body.

In 2014 I graduated from the Polestar Mat Instructor training and started teaching Mat classes at The Movement Practice in Amsterdam.

In parallel, I commenced the Polestar Studio training (graduated in 2015) and started teaching using equipment like the Reformer, Trapeze Table, Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector and props in Privates, Duets and Group Reformer Classes. I now mainly teach in my studio in Amsterdam West and am a mentor-in-training for the Polestar Studio Education.
